What a great start to the New Year!
Business has taken off and we are just days away from officially being 1 year old! It is a very big time for the hotel. After being open for 1 year, it gives us a chance to really show what we are made of. We are no longer considered the “new kid on the block” but we are now a big player in the market that is Surrey Tourism.
We couldn’t have gotten to this point without outstanding guests! We sincerely thank each and every person that has chosen to spend a night, a week, or even a month with our team at the Holiday Inn & Suites Surrey. We all love our jobs and strive to make each and every stay memorable and as comfortable as possible.

With Christmas coming up, people are encouraged to think of others in their times of need. Now more than ever, there is a need for extra food and supplies for the homeless and less fortunate.
Our Bobbles for Babies program is by donation to the Surrey Food Bank, specifically to the families with new born children who are finding themselves down on their luck during this Holiday season.
We have a tree in our lobby that will be holding ornaments with the company name or the individuals name on it.
This is a great cause! We will be having the official kick off for it tomorrow, and you will see ads running in our local news paper.
If you or your company are unable to donate, please spread the word as we are trying to reach as many people as we can and make the largest impact that we can in our city.
November 29th, 2010, will be our first official Monday Mixer. What the Monday Mixer will be is a hosted evening by our Sales and Marketting team here at the hotel, dedicated to expanding not only our social network, but to create a common ground for all local businesses to meet. Also on these nights there will be guest speakers sharing their stories and tips to drive your business. This coming month we have three very exciting speakers lined up. The evening will commence at 6:00PM and go until 9:00PM. There will be refreshments and appetizers served for all who attend.

We’ve got 1 month to go until Halloween! Our wheels are already in motion for our Halloween event. Our festivities will be tied in with the Cloverdale Halloween Costume Parade, happening on Saturday, October 30th. This will be our first Halloween event and we’ve got some great ideas cooking! This ranges from haunted rooms, to pumpkin giveaways, to a photo station. Be sure to stay tuned for updates!

With the weekend upon us and the rain forecast turning into a beautiful, crisp day, what more can you ask for? Well here at the hotel, we ask for a busy day! And it happened. There was an absolute buzz in the hotel all day. You can tell the wheels are in motion for this to become the mainstay property for all travelers in the Surrey/Cloverdale area. Coming into the fall season, be sure to stay tuned for upcoming group discounts and single stay discounts. Also if you are a corporate partner or customer, stay tuned for details regarding a complimentary Meet and Greet event at the hotel.

It has been our extreme pleasure to host the riders for the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride here at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Cloverdale, B.C. As the first stop on their Canada wide trip it was amazing to see the focus and dedication that these riders and their support teams have put into this effort. It’s been a joy getting to know members of the team, and being able to put faces to the riders, as we will be following along online through the whole 15 days.
There is so much more happening behind the scenes to get this all put together, rather than just hotel accommodations and a bike route. We here at the Holiday Inn would like to pass on our sincere congratulations for all the hard work and time that everyone associated with this event has dedicated to the cause. We also want to wish the entire team and crew a problem free and safe ride across Canada. Although you will be departing the Holiday Inn, all of the staff and management will be cheering the whole team on from Coast to Coast.
